What is FIST?
FIGHTING ISLAND STATE TASMANIA also known as FIST, is the first new FGC major that has rallied support from all across the state. From Smash Attack Studios, Down Tilt FGC, Red Kitsune, Launceston City Council, Launtel, Optimal Gaming and more.
When is the event?
May 11th and 12th. There will be events before the big show starts with the weekly Roadside Rumble and more events to be announced soon.

Why only three events?
As it is our first event and we are in partnership with a few people we want to make sure we are getting this 100% right to make sure the future for events in Tasmania and esports in general are strong.

Payout Policy:
As this is a sponsored event with various stake holders we are beholden to them and their pay schedules. We are aiming to have all events paid out within 30 days of the event completion.
What is the Down Tilt Conduct Policy?
”On this page sites the agreement between the “player” and the organisation known as Smash Attack Studios and it’s tournament team “Down Tilt” and all attached parties.
By agreeing to attend the event, you are agreeing to adhere to the player guidelines set out by Down Tilt and it’s respected parties, these parties include Max Connell (DT | MaxKiNG), Dean Baron (GyozaGPT), and representatives of Optimal Gaming This agreement can be extended upon the request of any Down Tilt authorised parties.
Players attending agree to the following:
I will, show the utmost respect and adhere to sportsman like conduct at all times.
I will, honour the game at all times and not conduct any of the following; sandbagging, bracket manipulation, side betting or other acts deemed unsporting or acceptable by authorised parties.
I will, at all times be respectful of fellow attendees.
I will, adhere to and respect any decisions made by authorised parties.
I will, conduct myself in a professional and respectable in any media that I agree to represent this includes; videos, livestreams, recordings or approved media by authorised parties.
As an attending player I recognise that failure to adhere to this agreement can result in disciplinary actions with necessary parties, including but not limited to Smash Attack admin staff, Down Tilt admin staff, the Australian Smash Senate, the Australian Code of Conduct panel or if required the Tasmanian Police.”
What else is there to do?
We will be having an onsite makers market where local artists can sell their merchandise (shirts, jewellery, prints, TBC). Have a small memento of you trip. There will also be a chill section where you can hang out, friendlies stations and local businesses around the area with various things on offer.
