From Down Tilt and Optimal Gaming
Hi everyone! We're making some changes to payments at Roadside Rumble and our monthlies.
To coincide with Optimal Gaming's move to Launceston's CBD, it's been requested of us to increase the entry fee of our events to more adequately cover costs. As a result of this, the venue fee at our events is being raised from $5 to $10.
This means for Smash players coming to Roadside Rumble, it will now cost $15 all up to enter the bracket ($10 venue $5 pot). We hope our existing player base can accommodate this change. Monthlies are still being decided upon, but expect a similar $5 increase there too.
We're working on making monthlies more exciting in the new year, so stay tuned for that!
We understand that this price increase will be difficult to manage for some players. We are looking towards implementing a 'pay-it-forward' system so that community members can contribute to other players' entry costs.
If you are having trouble meeting the new costs please speak with Max or Jai about how we can accommodate you. Smash is a game for everyone and we want to continue to provide the best events in Launceston.
